Description
Shimano Dura Ace Di2 Hydraulic Disc Brake Set With Calipers - ST-R9170. BR-R9170Used. Over three years old. 5000+ miles. On my gravel bike.
They work gret. Left hood shows some damage from an unfortunate incident. Left shifter blade was grazed in the same incident over three years ago. They’ve been through two significant crashes since then - but have not taken any noticeable hits on those adventures.
I don’t ever feel the damage - my hands are either above or below where they met the road.
Hoses were unscrewed from the calipers and the calipers were plugged. Brake pads were removed before this and should be fine. They are the newer resin pads. They have limited miles since being replaced about 4 months ago. I’d plan on buying new ones to be safe. But hey, if they work for you, bonus. Shifter hoses were cut. You will need to buy new hoses, assemble, and bleed them. But you probably already figured you’d be doing that to route the hoses on your bike.
Left bleed cap Allen screw is stripped. An Allen key won’t work. I used a T8 Torx to get it out. It has worked just great since then.
I bought new hoods to replace the damaged one. Never got around to replacing them. They are in the box too. There’s a bleed funnel and a couple bolts as well. Original boxes are included. Only one set of documentation are in the boxes.
The front brake is missing the adapter that goes from 140 to 160mm. I have no idea where it is. (They were mounted to an Open that doesn’t use the adapter)
Why am I selling? I am switching my gravel bike from a flat out race setup to a drop bar mountain bike style - I like the hoods and shape on the GRX better for that.
Firmware on them is current as of last month. They pass all the Di2 diagnostics with flying colors.
No Di2 cables or plugs (They had remote shifters plugged into them)
Please don’t send me messages with offers. I’m not really sure what they are worth in this condition. So I am listing them for .99 and the market will decide. I also listed a block of items that I can ship all at once when they sell around the same time.
Auction ends Saturday evening. You pay by Sunday evening, I ship them Monday morning.

Update: I managed to find the bracket and bolts for the front caliper and they are now included. I added a picture of the mounted front caliper.
